Ryland’s been a familiar face on our screens and voice on our wirelesses for a few years now. A successful actor, musician and father to three girls, he even finds time for the odd bit of presenting here and there (C2 yn y Ciwb – BBC Radio Cymru). Winner of Cân i Gymru a few years ago, Ryland plays a number of musical instruments including guitar, piano, Irish whistle, harmonica and ukulele. His recent albums produced include Heno, which received critical praise in both the UK and the United States, and Under The Blue. Ryland’s theatre credits include Rape of the Fair Country, Hosts of Rebecca, Song of the Earth, Under Milk Wood (Theatr Clwyd), Hamlet (Wales Theatre Company) and Stone City Blue by Ed Thomas. Television credits include Palmant Aur (S4C) and Fondue, Rhyw, a Deinasors (S4C). Ryland is currently filming Pen Talar (Fiction Factory), a nine part drama series that will appear on S4C.
