OSIAN (Character)

Osian is Stephen’s son, an endearingly naïve young man who lives within the support network of his little family. An only child, he is adored by his mother Rhian, and he in turn idolises his successful, charismatic father. That is until his world comes tumbling down around his ears when he catches Stephen in bed with another woman. This completely dislodges the foundations of everything Osian has ever believed in and drives him into a cycle of depression which culminates in his attempted suicide, and his rescue by Lea. Lea is Osian’s one last glimmer of hope, and he clings on to her for dear life, fantasising that one day she will reciprocate his crush. However Stephen again snatches his dreams when Lea falls for him instead. But instead of being floored by this latest knock, Osian instead makes a new start for himself. He has a new job as a croupier, he’s healthy, he’s happy and he’s independent. He's found an unlikely friend in Mike and his relationship with Kate gives him a new-found confidence. However, this doesn't mean he’s ready to forgive Stephen…

One of Pwllheli’s favourite exports, Gareth’s acting talent and good looks have made him a popular face on Welsh TV screens. He’s been in numerous series on S4C, including ‘Cowbois ac Injans’, ‘Teledu Eddie’ and ‘Pobol y Cwm’ and is due to appear in the second series of ‘Y Pris’ and the feature film ‘Cymru Fach’. He hasn’t only been busy in Wales though, as he has appeared as Noah in Channel 4’s ‘Hollyoaks’ and in the supernatural drama ‘Chosen’.

In 2006, Gareth was named one of the 50 most eligible bachelors in Britain by Company magazine, an achievement he described as "a bit of a shock, to say the least!"

Q & A

When were you happiest?
About right now. I've got a job I enjoy, supportive friends and family, and I live in a lovely little house with my wonderful girlfriend. And I'm in a band with one of my best mates. I'm also fully aware how smug that sounds, but I am very content at the moment.

What is your biggest fear?
That I'll wake up one day and it'll all have been a dream.

What’s your earliest memory?
Jumping off climbing frames and having arguments over who would get to go in the best toy cars in playschool, Pwllheli.

Who do you admire most, and why?
My Dad. He knows why.
